| Purple Rooster Bee Balm and Russian Sage |
Several years ago we ordered 'Purple Rooster' Bee Balm (
Monarda) from
Dayton Nursery not just for the wonderful purple/blue of the flowers, but for the simplicity of care. This tall variety requires
no staking, and has also proven to be
mildew free, as advertised. A large part of "no maintenance" gardening is picking the easy to care for varieties in the first place... and then planting them in large masses that leave no room for weeds.
